GSL ExPo Run - 09

Hey gang,

Just wanted to say what a great time I had yesterday with everyone. Thanks to those who 'jumped me', thanks to those who put up with my big camera, and thanks to those who will keep those neat places 'secret'.

I made two pictures yesterday. Here is one of them.

Chime in and remind us who you are in the shot. Me? I'm the one on the far right (not the dog).

Oh yeah, and be sure to post lots of your pics. I was on vacation yesterday.

Moody

Needs to get out more
The Moody Clan had a great time. Despite my wife's family dog dying the night before, she had a great time as well. Alexander -loved- the trip. He is enthralled with the coins from the railroad tracks. (Thanks to the gentlemen that gave those to him, you made a little boy awfully happy).
Liv, well... she is happy just to run around, do a couple of face plants, and run around some more.
Special thanks to Michael for the history lessons about the lake and specific features. I really enjoyed that. Also, thanks so much for your excellent communication skills :)

Fantastic to meet everyone...

I only took a handful of photos, and few turned out all that hot, but here they are:

This was my first outing and what a spectacular one it was - the Salt Lake and area is beautiful and learning more about it was really nice - had a blast and already looking forward to the next one. It was great meeting everyone, putting a face with a name and seeing their trucks. Gave me some great ideas for my own.

In cropped pic.

Thanks for all the compliments...it was really Kurt's trip, I was just asked to be the um...narrator.

I'm going out again this afternoon. I missed a shot. I should have made you all stop so I could have taken it. :)

No, no, no. It was Andre's trip, I was just asked to be the navigator :D

Wish I would have know you were heading back out, Candace and I just got back from there on out dirtbikes, we parked the truck in Delle and rode north on the eastern side of that range, up on top and back down around. Call me if your stuck :sombrero:

the shot of the train and all the trucks is epic, as well as the little boy over looking the train and landscape.

it looks like those trucks are about to get pumelled!

If anyone has pics of my new truck (Green Lexus) in action or any other cool shots send them my way. My camera wasn't working.

Awesome run though, thanks Andre, Kurt, and Michael! :ylsmoke:

Just got back. The inversion was mostly gone, which was a dissappointment actually, so I didn't go out onto the causeway for the shot I wanted. I headed west and took a shot looking back east at the quarry as the sun was setting. Pretty sweet light. I shot that with the *big* camera.

On the way back just before Grantsville I stopped to take a shot of a small section of fence I have been wanting to shoot for about 3 years now. Yes, I'm stupid like that...I look at that section of fence and wait until just the right time. Tonight was pretty good timing, so I stopped.

Driving the Passat, so no daredevil stunts for me (other than driving 95mph on the freeway and paved road up to Lakeside). :smiley_drive:

I'm the guy hiding in the back left wearing a beanie. Anyway thanks again to everyone for the good times. Unfortunatly I can't provide pics as my camera was broken so all I had was a disposable one...

There is nothing like getting up at 4:30AM and hitting the road with 4 unballanced Swampers that are way too small for 5.29 gears (a loud 4000K RPMS!!!), an unballanced rear drive shaft, A huge freezing draft from rust holes, and a foul look from everyone passing me as I make my way down the interstate :bike_rider:

I can't complain though... At least I didn't start in Philly!
