GX460 Project Black

Time to start a new project. Picked this up yesterday. 2011 GX460 Black on Black

Was previously a double lease (same guy twice) from FL so the head lights are cooked. Other than that I am already falling in love with it.

Initial Plan:
-Remove steps
- 2-3" lift
-17" wheels
-285/70r17 tires (AT or MT)
-ARB skid plates
-rock sliders
-snorkel
-sell organs to pay for gas

Anyone want to buy some Lexus 18" wheels? ?

What did you do with the running board lighting? Could you maintain the ground lighting?

Save your running boards!!!! Trim them or else you'll end up with a void like I did, acceptable but looks better with leaving the boards and trimming. If you save the plugs for the lighting on the boards, which I did manage to cut off and save, you can just find whatever lights you want to use later, wire them to the pigtails you cut off, and plug them up. Welcome to your new addiction

Is this only a GX460 problem? I got a GX470 and what I have seen so far on other forums looks good...
