GX470 front bumper question.....

Hi all.

I just purchased a 2006 GX470, and am having it shipped up from CA to my house in Oregon.

I haven't even seen it in person yet, but am already planning some mod's.

The sliders will be Stubbs Welding HD-SKO's

I'm not sure what the front suspension will be changed to, but I'm going to trick the rear bags for now.

The front bumper is a little more tricky. I like the looks of the Shrockworks 4th generation 4runner bumper (http://southernstylespeed.com/full-steel-plate-bumper-tire-carrier-rear.html) but am not sure if I can make it work on the GX. I want the ability to return the GX back to stock, so I don't want to cut the fenders. I've got a metal fab buddy who will modify the outer ends of the bumper to match up with the fenders, so I don't think there's a problem there.

My question for any of you that have gone through this; does the grill of the GX stick out much more than the 4runner? If so, do any of you know how much?
Any help would be appreciated...

Why not just go with that S3 front bumper as well? The 4R and GX may be a lot alike underneath, but buying a 4R bumper and then making it fit seems extraneous when you can get one that fits.

Won't work without cutting metal. I wanted to get a Demello flat top 4Runner bumper since they don't make one for our GX but found out it won't work. Our GX grill hangs down much lower than the 4Runner.

No 4Runner bumper will work.

The GX specific bumpers (like SS's) will bolt up. If you get a Prado 120 bumper from Iron Man or ARB they will work, but you will have to cut the sheet metal and most of the brackets and supports up front.
