GX470 sliders

Any recommendations on gx sliders for non kdss models. I am not sure how much I want to drill the frame so a plus for those that don't require extra frame drilling. I know metalteck requires drilling not sure about bud built.

Yea the OPOR sliders require drilling plus they use rivnuts which I am not a fan of- I ended up using thru bolts and making a threaded piece that goes inside the frame where it called for rivnuts.

I believe someone posted on the GXOR facebook group that the Demello sliders they installed did not require drilling. I have no idea about buds's but I would check out that group on face book. It's public so you don't even need to have an account.

Thanks, I will checkout demello too. I keep trying to contact bud built to ask but so far no luck. A while ago I asked Demello and they basically said they could not be sure but it seems they have done some GX470 bumpers etc since then so maybe they know now. I just still don't see the GX on their website for parts. Think I will avoid OPOR for now as I don't like they idea of rivnuts either, thanks for the heads up.

You're welcome. And even though I mentioned I was not a fan of the rivnuts on the OPOR sliders I did install mine- but I had to to a bit more work to get it all to work. They look pretty good, I think:

It also helped that I got a very good deal on them.

From the GX mod spreadsheet from GXOR, the following companies make sliders that can work on a GX:

Out Post Off Road (Metal Tech)
Southern Style OffRoad
Hefty Fab Works
RCI
Demello
BudBuilt
Rocky Road
Pelfreybilt
Trail Gear

I like OPOR sliders. IIRC you don't need to drill new holes in the frame - just enlarge one.

I will have to check out a few of those ones too. I got ahold of bud built and demello and both are saying direct bolt on with no drilling.

For what it's worth, I really like my OPOR/Metaltech sliders. I didn't install them, however. Since I had a shoulder injury at the time a couple of the guys at Metal Tech installed them for me after hours.

For free.

I'll continue to support them and recommend them, that's for sure.
