The owner didn't know what year it was, he never used it. His neighbor bought it new about ten years ago, looks older than that, but he says it's in great shape, I gave him a deposit site unseen, figured it wouldn't last.

I almost called the guy to go take a look at it but I knew if I did I would leave with it and have two campers in the driveway!!

I'm glad someone on here snatched it, if its solid its a hell of a deal.

I see you are coming from CT, if you need any help with it when you come out this way just send me a PM. I am in Winchester and could give you a hand!

Are you close by? I wouldn't mind someone taking a look at it, it's a 15 hour round trip for me. The guy says it's in great shape(isn't everything on CL?) and ready to go except it need a water pump and there is a small leak where the canvas attaches to the cabover when the tops up.

Will do, I have a guy checking it out for me now, hopefully he can give it a go/no go before I make the trek.
PS the expo community is pretty cool when a guy you never met offers up his time to help keep me from making a trip if it's junk

This one is not going to work out for me, lots of soft spots and a bad roof.
Big thanks to a fellow expo member that saved me 15 hrs of driving
On the plus side the interior is real nice with tons of lights etc. Might be a good project if you got it for a good price

Where are the soft spots, and what does "bad roof" entail? My family owns a fiberglass business, so roof repairs could be done quickly and easily. Did they get you any pics when they looked at it for you?

I didn't see it myself, but the guy that did said that roof was sagging and leaking in several spot. One of the corner Jacks ripped out at one point, I assume due to rot.
Even Matt from Hallmark suggested I look the roof over carefully as they leak if not properly maintained(older rubber style)
It's worth taking a look if you are close, I needed something ready to go, I already have a project

The roof literally bowed inward several inches and could be pushed up and down very easily by hand. The "wallpaper" that covers the luon or whatever material it was sheathed with was bubbling pretty much everywhere. This was just one of the issues it has as far as water intrusion and rot. I pinned the roof damage on the "bike rack" and old solar install, while it was caulked it looked old and I doubt it had been resealed regularly.

The jack was either torn off or it fell off from rot. It was "fixed" by being moved about an inch upward and rebolted but I bet the bolts went into soft wood. Electric jacks worked great on all four corners.

Both rear lockers (the ones that overhang the bumper) were rotted and very soft and the cabover was damp and I assume rotted but there wasn't a way to get a good look other than lift up the bed platform. If someone didn't mind tearing it down and really getting a good assessment of the water intrusion/ damage it would probably be a cheap way to get into a Hallmark.
