HAM radio in 1st Gen Tacoma?

Has anyone had any luck mounting a HAM radio in a 1st Gen Tacoma?
I am having a hard time locating a spot for my Kenwood dual band and external speakers.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have any first hand experience but looking at pictures the auto may have a place or two to mount something.

It looks like there may be an area next to the power ports below the dash in front of the shifter that you may be able to mount the control head or at least the speaker. You may have to use a seat bolt mount goose neck for the control head. You can also mount the speaker on either side of the shifter though in front of it below the dash would look better.

Can you split the head unit? I have an FJ but mine is above my mirror with a RAM mount.

I mounted the head unit on the dash using RAM mounts I had.
The main unit is under the drivers seat.
Still cannot find a decent place for the speakers.
