The ladder on my Hannibal tent is a 2 piece unit. One half is attached to the tent and the other half is loose.
Got a little tired of the 2 pieces pulling out of each other. Drilled 2 small holes through the uprights and used a locking pin (probably not what it's called) to hold the ladder togeter.
