Harker Outdoors EDC pop-up wedge camper

VanIsle_Greg

I think I need a bigger truck!
I have never seen these before. LOTS of options, and lots of interesting looking add on bits. Not sure I am a huge fan from the still photos, but it might be worth watching a few videos. I built a custom slide in camper, and its a bit heavier than I like... so have been looking at options like the GFC or even the Alu Cab stuff.

This is an interesting design. Not sure I like that much tent, but you sure seem to get a lot of interior space.

i bought a haker edc for my jeep gladiator in 2022
overall i like it, its great for one person, when my wife and dog go with me its a bit crowded. The extra room afforded by the annex over the tailgate is a big deal with the gladiator's 5' bed. i use a Planar diesel heater in the winter and although the first gen tent does not seal very well around the tailgate i have no problem keeping it t-shirt weather inside even when its below freezing outside.
The thing my wife doesnt like about it is having to climb up into the bed, but that would be an issue with any of the wedge campers. The low profile and light weight make if perform very well offroad. If forest service style fire roads are the only off roading your looking to do i would say one of the bigger/heavier slide in campers would provide more creature comforts.

I bought my Harker EDC in January. Very happy with it and i have camped in just about everything from a bivy sack to a Sportsmobile. All were small and off-road capable. Yes the canvas tent takes some time to set up and can get noisy in the wind. But everything that has canvas can get noisy. Stick in some ear plugs.

All the other wedge type campers are built like erector sets with bolt together aluminum frames. The Harker is fully welded steel box tubing. It will still be solid long after my Tacoma has died.

All you characters saying “terrible design” should check one out in person.
