Has anyone seen the Opus Campers?

Looking forward to hearing more about this thing, I stuck my head in one at an RV show and thought it looked pretty spacious. Curious if you'd get looks from other camping folks running the compressor to inflate every night.
Usually never camp with other people nearby. Camp on BLM most of the time. If I have to I really dont think that the tiny compressor running for 5 minutes would bother anyone.

Hey Dred
You getting out for Memorial weekend? We're thinking about it but not sure where or how much time we'll have. Thinking we could leave Denver Thursday late afternoon and return first thing Tuesday am.

Yeah of course, I pretty much live now to take my rig out heh.. my son's last day of school is that Friday unfortunately so I gotta get in with the rest of traffic.. so I got reservations at a improved site thats a family favorite (camped there since I was 8yro) since its near enough.. got the last site back in early march.

We were down in Pingree park back on easter and it was really nice, tons of dispersed available and its pretty low altitude so little snow, though I kinda expect that area to be blown out on a holiday weekend im sure you could find something if you left Thursday.. otherwise I now go down to Gunnison/Pitkin/Crested Butte/Oray on holiday weekends.. once you get over 3h or so from the metro you can start to find pockets of isolation again on the summer holidays.

no, we stopped by and looked at the ones they had but they didn't have my model and blew me off when I tried to order one and wasent interested in what they had.. well a month later they announced they were not making em anymore so they probably already knew that.

I drove to Minnesota and bought it old stock previous year and got a hella deal on it..

Oh there's no way your getting over cottonwood pass this early in the year.. Last year I still hadda bust through a lil snow on the north side and we got practically nothing last year compared to this year.. I'd be surprised if they get trail ridge road open come memorial day weekend and they have big incentive to clear that.. I'd try to stay under 9k, anything near or above tree line is going to be closed for mud season.. most all back passes will remain closed til late june early july.

Double check on Cottonwood. Has been closed for nearly 2 years. It WAS slated to open on June 21st (CDOT has been paving the western slope for the past 2 summers). Even if it does open, they are expecting significant delays as construction crews (paving) will be present nearly the entire summer. The heavy winter snows appear to have delayed that opening though. My buddies in Salida and BV are saying to not count on it being open this summer and have a contingency plan. Will probably have to head down to Salida/Poncha Springs and take 50 West over to Gunnison. You could, since you have an "off-road" trailer, go to Poncha Springs and then head West on 50 to Monarch Pass....from there, you could then go over Old Monarch to Black Sage Pass to Waunita Pass which drops you into Pitkin and then take Cumberland Pass North over to the town of Tincup and continue on to Taylor Reservoir. All of those passes are "gravel/dirt" passes and easily do-able in a 2wd vehicle. They are all incredibly scenic.

"Unless stated otherwise, trailers only are covered by a 12 month limited manufacturer's warranty from the original date of purchase." And it's limited to paint, tires and straps.

For a $24,000 inflatable camper?

I'll stick to our teardrop.

@Uluax .... Cottonwood will be closed BTW until August. Here's the update from Gunnison/Chaffee Counties: 5/30/19 - As of 5/30/19 the Gunnison County Commission has decided that Cottonwood Pass will remain closed until 8/12/19 at which time it may be opened with some traffic control. Continued closure is due to heavy winter and spring snows. Closed due to construction activity.
