Headers for the 100 - 20 pre orders needed

Dear 100 Owners,

We have found someone to build 100 series headers. We need 20 pre ordered. This is big since many of the 100s are plagued with cracked exhaust manifolds and the only option available is Toyota headers (manifolds). The Doug Thorley are more free flow and will be ceramic coated to cut down on under hood heat. There will also be a little hp gain which is always needed on the heavy hundy.

The price is going to be $642 per set. We have 3 people signed up so far over on www.ih8mud.com

We also need a 100 series to test fit these on in California. They said they would need the truck for about a week.

Please help if you can. Our ear buds will thank you and our 100s can stop sounding like old farm trucks at start up!

Good luck with your group buy.

If you own a 100 series, I think this is a good investment. The cost of the new factory headers and labor to replace them is one of the few problems with this vehicle.

Are these headers identical to the first gen Tundra headers? I've got the same issue on my '00 Tundra

Nick told me the 100-Series headers were going to be a stocked item after the intro/group buy that you got kicked off uzj100! Albeit at the regular price...

Very cool. I am loving these headers. Forgot how quiet the truck use to be. Also the midrange is more fun now.

I didn't have cracked exhaust manifolds (no ticking) however I did notice some blow by on one of the (front or rear I forget) cylinders at the exhaust gasket. I hadn't realized the associated noise until the first fire up with the headers: As you stated they are very quiet!

I might have had the same. At cold start up when backing up it sounded like an old farm truck with leaky exhaust. I do not remember any ticking either. I will examine the headers further for any cracks.
