Headlight rockguards, cupholders and more...

Got a few more things done on my M715 over the last couple of weeks.

Installed a set of headlight rockguards from an M998, got my Tuffy cupholders in and installed them on my ammocan center console, installed the mounts in the cab for my Hi-Lift Xtreme jack, installed new front marker lights, installed new taillights and I got in a glovebox lock to replace the pushbutton. Well...anyways, here's the pics.

Yeah, that'll get there. I'm dropping it off at the transmission shop on the other side of my property in april to get the transmission and transfer case rebuilt. After that I'm on to swapping out the 5.87 diff gears and replacing them with 4.56's and Power-lok LSD's front and rear.

The other big bit of work that will be going on during that time will be rebuilding the spare engine for it...it'll be an interesting build since I'm doing a modified rebuild on a replace 6-230 Tornado...basically attempting to resolve some of the bad engineering designs in the engine while also upgrading it substantially for more power and useful things like a dual voltage system so that I can put a 12v stereo in the truck without having to replace the entire 24v system.

I'll keep putting up posts as I get things done though :victory:

Wow great truck!

Maybe slip some bike inner tube or small diameter fire hose over the chains on the tailgate, reduce some jingles and jangles. :)

Yeah, I thought about that, the problem is that the tubes fill up with water which get's all rancid inside. I'd rather deal with the bit o' jangle than have to deal with nasty gunked up water getting all over me everytime I lower the tailgate :)
