Heco lift maintenance, not repair

In order to extend the life of the Heco gear lift my Northstar uses to raise the roof, should I be lubricating the gears? If so, what should I use?

Sorry about the lack of response. Did you get it figured out?

I used the same stuff i used on the jack legs/ slideout mech for my fiver. I believe its a silicone, or graphite lube.

I contacted the manufacturer, Northstar, and they suggested silicone.

Hi. How well does the silicone grease in your elevator work, and for how long? I'm planning to put a hoist in my house on the second floor and am looking on the web for companies like https://hinchong.com/lift-maintenance-singapore/ as a contractor. I wouldn't want to see graphite grease anywhere in the house, so I'm counting on silicone. Knowing how the gears work, I think any fence may allow fat to get in and out. I understand that these companies are supposed to do maintenance on the equipment, but things happen in operation.

I've never touched mine in 23 yrs. The silicone sounds good though.
