Hi all,

I'm a keen Holden Jackeroo (Isuzu Trooper) owner frim Australia, its great to read about all your vehicles and would love to have a chat with all of you and post some of my photos to you guys from Oz!! So far my trooper has Ironman 4X4 springs shock & heavy duty torsion bars which I have wound up. Next I want to fit 33" tyres, any ideas? can i fit 10.5 wide or 12.5 wide, hope to speak to you all soon, thanks, Jackerwho?

for what its worth, you might consider posting a question in one post rather than 5, its alot easier to keep track of the answers that way.

So what year is your Isuzu? What are you looking to do with it? For most use, I'd say a 12" wheel is overkill. Depending on what your looking to do, a narrower tire (and therefore wheel) might actualy be better. Check out this thread here...

For the Troopwr I would recommend staying with a 32", but if you want to go to a 33" I would say 255/85/r16's. I would go with the narrower tire as you wont have as much rubbing issues.

I'm not sure what the biggest tire you can put on would be with stock gearing. I'm running a short and fat 285/75 -16 and I think it is pushing the max that the stock gearing can handle. There are people running much larger tires than that on PlanetIsuzoo and 4x4wire, but with different gears. If it matters, my tires actually measure out to about 32.5" in diameter and I think that is the maximum on the stock gears. I'm not sure what the benefit of a really wide tire is.

I'm a Land Cruiser guy myself, with 12.5" x 33" BFG MT's.
I think a 10.5 would be just fine for the kind of off-road exploring I do. The 12.5" were already on it when I bought it...but they're great for rocks!
So that's my 2 centavos!
