Hi ! I've recently discovered this site and have really enjoyed going through all the forums, so I thought I'd introduce myself.
My name is Greg, and I live with my wife and 2 cats in Pine Cove CA.
Our house is up at 6300' and we are located 3 miles North of Idyllwild, 23 miles south of Banning, and are about 30 miles west of Palm Desert.
These are the kinds of views we have near our house-
One of my vehicles is this 91 Toyota 4Runner-
It has a few upgrades, like Performance Products progressive rear springs, with Doetsch Tech MV16 shocks. I am very happy with that combo for the rear, and would highly recommend both products. I replaced the extension and compression bump stops on the front suspension with lower profile units, and the result was very noticeable. Presently the front shocks are Rancho 9000's which will be replaced at some point.
The engine is a 3.0 V6 and was factory brand new 40k miles ago thanks to the head gasket recall. The trans is an auto and has been working great since a rebuild 20k miles ago.
Not pictured is a new Yakima rack and Loadwarrior basket. The basket takes turns between sitting on the 4Runner and my baja bug.
Last year, some friends and I drove end to end (almost!) on the Mojave road. We aren't hardcore off roaders, so this trip fit the bill nicely-
I've been retired for 3 years (I'm 49...and yes I'm boasting) and really enjoy photography and video. I've sold quite a few buggy trip DVD's from trips with a buggy club that I also hang with occasionally. I have the video from the Mojave Road downloaded to my video computer but haven't got a chance to make the darn movie! Here's the promo-

(Darn, I tried to embed the video but it didn't work)
Ya, It's not a Spielberg production, but I have fun making them.
I'll be posting on the pop up camper forum when I get to it, with pics of my GMC truck, camper, and a couple other toys.
But that's it for now. Talk to everyone later.
