Hello guys!

Hey people! I'm Tyrene, but my friends call me TJ (last name Jones) and I'm new to biking.

Go easy cuz I'm more eager to start in my mind than maybe my body haha.

What the sweet spot in terms of new bike prices? I want to get the most bang for my buck and don't want to break the bank or buy a bike that I won't truly be able to appreciate due to the newb factor.

Thanks!

Ty

Largely depends on what you want out of this new bike. If all you desire is a little casual fitness a day or two a week, that can be achieved with a minimal spend. On the other end of the spectrum are people who want to enjoy riding on actual mountain bike trails. That doesn't mean you have to be hard core, but spending a bit more will add to your fun-factor.

As a general rule, anything you buy at a reputable bike shop will be a worthy investment. Avoid department store bikes at all costs.

I guess - what do you want to do with this bike? Once that's established, we can answer your question. Until then, it's kind of like asking, how much is a new car?
