Hello all! After much anticipation I secured pre approval for financing 3.75% interest from Alliant Credit union, made ordered up a brand new fleet and placed my down payment. Now they decide to call me and say sorry they didn’t know it was a slide in camper and they wont finance those. I did some heavy breathing and let my frustrations subside, now I’m wondering if anyone out there in the community has any recommendations for financing a FWC that isn’t an outrageous interest rate. Any and all information would be welcomed and much appreciated. Thanks!!!

Apply to your bank for a line of credit. You can use the money for whatever you want and the bank doesn't ask

Try Mountain America Credit Union in Utah. We financed a 12 year old Winnebago Vectra through them (via the dealer). Decent rate, and were able to pay off early.

We used Essex when we bought our motorhome. No complaints. I'm told Lightstream, an affiliate of Suntrust, handles campers. Good luck and let us know how this works out.

Used USBank for my FWC. Weren’t the cheapest rates, but very easy to deal with and did it at my local branch. I’ve used alliant for other loans before, and while their rates are usually incredible, they can be a real pain to deal with.

Thanks! I decided to give essex a shot. It's who the fwc dealer recommended. It's a little strange they have a $460 closing cost. Haven't seen that tacked into a loan price since buying a house. Oh well home on wheels!
