Help Tread Lightly decide where to train

Seriously, J... South Central US.

If you are looking for class attendees to stay within an easy one-day drive, then Hot Springs, AR would cover everything from OKC east across the Ozarks, down to Nashville and Jackson, and from Baton Rouge to DFW. Plus, Hot Springs offers you both the Superlift Park as well as immediate access to the Ouachita Nat'l Forest.

I'd even be willing to lead a group trip into the mtns after the graduation so we can use our skills! :D

There's a ton of technical off-roading, overlanding, hunting/fishing, and ATV/moto-ing interest in this area.

Think about it, bro. Thanks!

I concur. Close to major population centers, but with lots of forest land in its back yard.

Group trip sounds fun too! :coffeedrink:

Typical Tread Lightly! courses...

Typical Tread Lightly! courses are taught in a classroom. They cover the TREAD principals, real world examples, etc.

It would be cool to go wheeling afterwards, but it's not necessary to have a trail for the class.

In fact, the two trainers sent to conduct our local Master Tread Trainer class did not wheel at all. They were hikers.

You'll note the survey simply asks about a classroom being available.

What would be cool is to take the class, then have a modest trail ride/clean up. Maybe have them issue a press release afterwards ???

I have done a few trail cleanup and maintainance projects in the area, and there are groups such as FoOT that may have local folks interested in the course.
