Hi all,
What is the min. amout of clearance that I can get away with when putting a flatbed on the frame of an '03 Tacoma DC. I am currently running firestone air bags. I want to build a camper on the flat bed.

Thanks

The minimum will depend on your tires size, how your axle is bumped, how much articulation you have, intended use etc. The only way to get it right is to figure and measure your own truck. I've done exactly what you are planning on an old Ford truck, so I went through the same process. In the end I decided the best compromise was to build a stepped bed so that the tire had more room, and that kept the middle floor area lower. I was trying to keep overall height to a minimum. Someday I hope to build an aluminum bed for my Tacoma and do that again.
