I have a horrible habit of bouncing around from vehicle to vehicle …. More of a sickness actually so here we go again where I say I’m going to keep it mostly stock but it will probably be on 35s soon with who knows what else done . My xterra was so easy to put on 35s with only 1.25” of lift it’s tempting to do again but at this point my Main goals are a pop top camper , winch and just get out moreF25542F8-1365-41C8-B98C-301FC146BFC3.jpegA5B13528-DD05-4368-993D-1CCEE026297A.jpeg99538391-3FC7-4365-8333-F970740B8614.jpeg

These work great with 33's, especially the skinnies.
I got a hidden winch tray from Wam, and it actually does the job just fine,
I don't have any complaints about the front bumper, just the lights--everything could be brighter!
Not sure if that has an electric locking tailgate, but if not, that is an upgrade that will be appreciated.

For the tiny bit of extra work and couple lbs more I’ll probably go 35s like I did on the xterra

Had to do some deliveries for work in the Eugene area so decided to take the little one with me and head over to Bend afterwords . Stayed in a cool hotel with a big ol fire pit . Next day we drive around a bit and tried finding some possibly abandoned places but blocked roads kinda ruined those plans . Found some great views by an observatory and a lot of snow on mount hood on the way back . It was a nice little daddy daughter trip even though camping wasn’t involved . A suspension upgrade needs to happen in the front . With Nissans when you lift the front the struts has a tendency to contact the upper control arm and with having a spacer lift limiting uptravel the ride is a little choppy .1F17213A-718C-402D-84F8-E9F2CE7D19D4.jpeg71404FD2-0FBB-45C3-A34B-3ABC7E0FD960.jpeg4833DA50-6423-4C2F-B92D-9C9A0144D0E5.jpegF7DF342B-8E89-48C3-BFD5-E88BCCC14118.jpegCA75D4E0-CC26-4CE3-8F61-7D57EBDCE5B6.jpeg49DCF65F-B958-4411-A0A9-FE83C586BCB3.jpeg50AAFE51-BADA-4B11-B9D8-71C4D8C37563.jpeg9FF9233B-4B10-456A-945F-641C4495BE8F.jpeg8C4E198C-ED66-445E-8139-CAD59092E0D2.jpegBF35057E-A594-42A9-AB8A-30C41686662C.jpeg

Make the simplest platform I could . I’m using a futon mattress (air mattress always seem to suck ) so I made the platform fold in two spots so I can roll the mattress up with sleeping bag on it and still be able to put stuff on top of the mattress and as a bonus it will sit angled when folded half way making a lounge to sit and chill . Found a piece of 3/4” ply in the back of the warehouse at work that had piano hinges on it so total cost so far is 0$ . The sliders are just pieces of hardwood that I did a round over on and sanded super smooth and smothered in paste wax . It slides super easy actually to easy because it bangs back and forth when driving . Took the scraps I had left over and mocked up a box for the sides . I will pick up some nice birch or other nice plywood to make them out of .E1A9FAC0-ED3F-41D3-873D-85C8D49C7E1D.jpegDDC6193D-02ED-46DC-9209-81C00DE8F30B.jpeg0F47C744-C8AB-4502-8446-E374B1B9C5E8.jpeg1D4B3C93-3394-4B11-8BDF-5B7AD6DE61D4.jpegA4717725-DC00-4B38-B5F7-C1D1B53FF801.jpeg

Productive evening after work 2” body lift (easiest one I’ve ever done ) and an add a leaf for the rear . Suspension was a bit squaty with even a couple hundred lbs hope the add a leaf will combat that . Have a couple little things to do later , make some 1” spacers for the engine and trans to help keep the shifter a little higher and will make fitting the winch behind the bumper a little easier .696DF37E-A786-465F-ACA7-54F7B6D2D505.jpeg979D3704-08C3-4382-B5D8-1F85AFA3E0B6.jpeg

Had to run from clackamas to auburn wa and back because I mistakenly put some product on the wrong truck at work and had to pick them up from a shipper up there . Even doing 76 most of the way I still managed 19.87 mpgs and hit 150k on the nice little morning drive . 99F304B9-B731-40CA-A6B6-451BCBCA6820.jpeg7CD524ED-C9B1-45CD-AF0A-FE7A5FB4B654.png

Making a little progress. Need to drill a few more holes get some longer bolts some more trimming of the bumper and mount but should hopefully get it buttoned up tonight . And if you’re wondering brown and blue was the only paint I had laying around at work .9D781C83-6E94-4CA5-9271-9D69A1ECD052.jpeg966E8FFD-8C4C-4069-85D2-29E8227FFA8C.jpeg

Nice!

Good luck with the AAL helping with the rear sag, I initially hoped the same thing but the stock rear leafs are just prone to flattening. Even with very little weight ever put in the bed of mine, they were flat by 20k. I believe it is a design flaw, or just part of the design.

its definitely just a temporary solution for now , toying with the idea of swapping in a set of 63” Chevy springs I just know when doing it on a Toyota it gives it 4-5” of lift so may require going spring under to make it work. May actually work and ride better in the long run that way .
