Hinge type for front of A-frame RTT

I'm building a custom pop-up V a-frame RTT over the winter and have pretty much everything figured out. Dimenions, etc. The problem I'm having is tracking down a scissor-type hinge for the front of the pop-up. I cant want a common hinge, because I'm a tall drink of a water and like a decent footbox. I've seen several (mostly on here, and elsewhere) that utilize a scissor-type hinge or articulated hinge that opens up, and gives it ~8" of clearance. Does anyone know where to source these from? Thanks for the help, looking forward to reading more on this board over the next few months.

Thanks. They were a bit pricey, but if anyone else is looking into this, I found a good solution. late 80's camaros hood hinges work perfectly for this aplication, and have strut to assist and hold it popped. I'm inverting them for my purpose

Hi! I am in the same position. I am converting an Early Bronco roof to pop open (ala Westfalia) and looking for a scissor style hinge too that is affordable. Do you have pics of this with the Camaro hinge?

Have you looked at tonneau cover hinges? I was considering building my own RTT and saw some that might work. Only problem is the nicer ones were pretty expensive and would have cost more than getting a purpose built one for RTT.

I need the lift at the lower end for foot well space. The hood hinges look like a cool option and I have found a pair on eBay for cheap, like $25.
