Lost Canadian
Expedition Leader
I didn't look at the specs all that closely but those really are impressive.Okay, a bit late to the party, because I'm still waiting for a full-frame camera with HD (1080P) camera, but those specs are impressive.
Several features are usually reserved for the pro-level cameras:
1. 6fps; that's almost as fast as the D300s
2. Viewfinder with 100% coverage. Most below the flagship cameras have to settle for 94% coverage or something like that.
3. Dual memory card slots. Sure, it's SD, but still that's impressive for a smaller camera body as this.
4. Dust and weather sealing.
That looks to be an impressive little camera. Also, I noticed that full auto-focus will be available for the HD movie mode. That's sweet too.
Man, I sure hope all of these or better are added into the D800 or D700s (whatever it will be called).
14 bit RAW, 1/8000 top shutter speed, 2,016-pixel RGB sensor metering:Wow1:,39 point AF, shutter rated to 150,000 releases...ya, those are pro'esq specs for sure. Makes one wonder what they plan on doing with the D400.
If the video is in line with the 7D's output I may have to pick one up for a Christmas gift for,...ah, my wife. LOL
