So you want a bike. Maybe you used to ride, maybe you've always wanted to. And as the view of the parking lot from your drab cubicle grows more stale every day, your midsection softer and the monotonous routine of your life has started to more quickly burn away your years - you want a bike. It calls to you. You don't want to mow the lawn, you want to escape. Despite all your pretending, you know deep down golf sucks and motorcycles are awesome. You want freedom, wind and mud on your face, and a growling ride to chuck you back into the wilds and away from the suburban trap where you have imprisoned yourself. Here it is, so easy and in reach. You spent more than this last month on crap you didn't need and can't even remember. Junior's teeth aren't going to get any more crooked and can wait a bit for braces, and no one, ever, needs new drapes. You need this. You need to re-energize your life. You need alone time, just you and the world, and this is the bike to get you there.
Welcome to your new fun machine. Rugged, affordable, and ready for action. Drop it, leave it in the rain, jump curbs, go camping, park on sidewalks, always be psyched to run an errand. Commute to work instead of driving that emasculating gutless minivan or other more practical, sorry vehicle that ferries you around your weekly disappointment. Suddenly, going to work is rad - take the long way, the dirt way, the better way. Too tall, you say? Get a lowering link, or just man up. Too slow, you say? This thing rips everywhere, and fast road bikes are gateways to death and prison, while this is a gateway to great weekends, detours down dirt roads, or trips to Belize. Not modern enough, you say? New bikes are too big, too heavy, too complex, and too expensive. Who wants a chromed-out poser mobile or a wannabe round the world 'adventure' bike that you can't pick up, costs more than a car, and only looks good at the coffee shop? This bike is bombproof simplicity. Adventure starts here - basic, lightweight, strong suspension, capable of going anywhere. Efficient, quality, proven, and pared down to the essentials. Just like your life used to be. Ride modes are unnecessary gimmicks; this rides by skill, feel, and reliable power. Remember that eventually all electronics fail, and a Honda never dies.
So do it. Reclaim yourself and go have fun. Go ride a BDR and have an unforgettable time. Be awesome again. Lucky you, as you have found the best built and most mechanically sound 650 in America.
