So, I'm getting close to retrofitting a hot water heater in my Bobcat pop-up camper :bigbossHL: . I was looking closely at current specifications by some of the leading outfitters out there and was very interested in the Omega 2000 spec by Campa.
Some internet research has revealed some dissatisfied customers of Omega 2000 other units (primarily, it appears, their larger residential units) and I was wondering if anyone would care to weigh in on their experience with the smaller units used on these trailers.
With the nature of my use of the camper (it is removed fairly frequently), it seems an on-demand gas-fired unit would be ideal (as opposed to an engine-heated, which would be divorced from the camper, or electric a-la Expeditions West Tacoma, which would take up more under-counter cubic inches).
Any feedback welcome.
