Is there any good resources for basic information and parts needed for a 12v/propane water system?.

12V is only for the pumps & fans.

Add propulsion fuel to the list, unless already committed to propane for other uses.

See Webasto / Espar type heaters, tied in with engine coolant circuit. Very fuel efficient.

Google for these terms and "heat exchangers".

Can also double up providing your living space heat if boondocking in cold climates.

Webasto does offer a diesel fueled water and heat system but it is expensive at around $3,000

Check out the Eccotemp L5 heater. I use that. Add a Flojet or whomever 12V water pump (check out the minimum flow requirements) and you are all set. I either plug it into my little battery pack/inverter or to my 12v trailer batteries....
