How Cool er Cruel is This

15,000 euro? Doesn't that sound a little to good to be true?

Very sweet ride if perhaps a little top heavy

It will be able to be legally imported into the US in less than 7 months, if anybody really wants it. 04/2011 and you can bring it in, no problems.

It's probably a great truck even with the 3B. It's probably very underpowered but it is a nice platform. Drop a 1HZ or 1HDT 6 cylinder Toyota diesel in there, and you have a GREAT truck.

I love it!

7 or 8 years ago, TLC had a nearly identical diesel, LC, camper for sale. I can't remember the price (knowing TLC, they probably wanted $750,000+ ;)). Anyway, the thing was AWESOME. I got to drool all over it on their showroom floor. It remains one of my all-time favorite "Expo" rigs.

Still seems too cheap to be true. Has anyone contacted them yet?

The engine is probably the same 2h as mine was, right? That will not win any speed contest...

$$$

I was thinking the price was about spot on. A 1985 will run about 6-9k, and the base camper starts at 7.5k. From what I have seen in the Euro market you are paying mostly for the camper at this point. Ormocar has a 2001 Hilux, with the same set up at 10,800. Although I prefer lifting roof designs to cab overs, the GRP construction is very light weight, with tanks below floor level. Top heavy is not the problem here, its the side winds, with narrow wheel track. They have been building these for years, and have to get approval from the government for safety. This in my opinion, is miles ahead of say a 1500lb slide in. A little freshening up here and there, new veneer or repaint the cabinets, and its good to go. IMHO

It is a BJ75...so it will have the 3B diesel. That is of course, if it still has the factory engine. And you thought your 2H was slow.....try a 3B with this much weight!

$15K is about right for a truck like this. It is 25 years old and it probably has some rust, especially coming from Germany.

More like $21,097.50 USD using the going rate of $1.4065 USD to the Euro. Still not too bad for a camper.
