How do you keep things in your cupboards?

Been mobile for a month now and my biggest problem is keeping things like canned food in my cupboards. Curvy mountian roads or bumpy trails just dumps everything. Have you had similar problemms? How did you over come them?

I put most of my canned stuff under the dinette seat in my Eagle. I've been on a lot of bumpy trails and never had a cabinet pop open but things inside them do get jumbled at times. I mitigate this by just jumbling things as I put them in. :)

Wedge it in. In the boat I've seen people put hooks inside the cabinets and use light stretchy bungies too.

You could also put a footman loop at each end of the span of cabinets and then put a bungee across the outside when traveling to keep the doors from opening.

Pack by weight too - heaviest stuff on the bottom. Depends on your cabinet setup, but we keep canned goods on the floor of the floor cabinets, tea, napkins, cereal, etc up high. Obviously the vehicle will drive better/safer but also the weighty stuff doesn't acquire as much momentum when you're rockin' and rollin'

Putting things in plastic trays, both in cabinets and in side opening fridges, can really help with organization and said rockin' and rollin'.

We had a couple of drawers that would pop open frequently the first month we were on the road. Replaced the catches on those with higher pound rating catches from the same mfr. Problem solved.

I just use a very small bungie cord on my cabinet handles. Never had an issue aside from the maiden voyage when I found canned goods all over the floor. I have under dining table storage also.
