Just about to pull the trigger - if you guys say it is a good move. Seems like the price is a little high, but I can fix that. Anywho let me know your thoughts!

LINK EXPIRED
It was an add for a Super White (!) 2005 X-Cab Tacoma TuRD SR-5 with 8K miles

Yes - I can't afford to keep both. I can't tell you how much it breaks my heart to sell the Discovery - it is EXACTLY what I want and I have been a Land Rover guy for 15+ years. Every time I open the back door to let Max, the Mighty German Shepherd in or out I can't help but admire the truck. You know what I mean...

I will come to love the Toyota too, I'm sure. At this point in my life a truck is more suitable to my needs, and I can't bare the idea of chopping the Rover.

Since you asked... It's a 2000 DII 67K miles, OME 3" lift springs and shocks with about 2500 miles on it. 5 - 235/85/16 BFG ATs with about 1000K miles. AMV center diff lock, blackout hood kit, dog guard, Safety Devices roof rack, Land Rover brush bar with Hella lights, GBR front driveshaft, Optima Yellow top battery, dual sunroofs - no leaks, all options and everything works. Extra set of steel wheels - no tires. If you have seen the pics, I'm keeping the light force for the Toyota. $13500

If you know anyone that might be interested, please let me know!

seems like a good truck. Having had to make a split decision between my 98 and an 05 i ended up with the 98 just because of the factory e-locker. Have only had to use it once or twice, and when i did it was a real life saver. might of not seen it on the website but didn't see the e-locker on it. Just depends on the most common type of terrain you go out on. but all around its a great truck, and that price is a deal.

Looked at it today! Loaded to the hilt - e locker et al. Now I just need to work out the bank stuff... He accepted my offer but there is a line of folks wanting it so I have until 4:00 tomorrow.

As of the price, the trade-in price the dealer gave me for my '06 DoubleCab with 15,000 mls was 23,500. I would say that's not bad.

I am about to die - no word from the bank at all and I only have about 45 minutes before I lose my spot in line...

To make matter even worse there are two people here in Anchorage that want to buy my Land Rover - one works at the dealership and has cash...

one of those days...

Whats the final word???

Love the ExPo white!!! Great price Too!!!

Good luck man!!! Write the owner of the truck a check for $100 to seal the deal! Then write a bill of sale........ that will give you some more time for the bank to do its thing!...

Wheee !!!!

:hehe:
GOT IT!!! I am sooo very excited. Now to bore you guys with all the "how to get started" questions.

What a giant difference between it and the Rover. Not better – but different. I look forward to getting to know a new platform and expanding my vehicle vocabulary, so to speak (type, actually)...

Tomorrow I remove the TRD (TURD) stickers and the TACOMA / SR5 V6 badges.

I just put 235/85/16 BFG ATs on the Rover. Will they fit the stock Tacoma? I plan a lift in a month, but the Rover will sell quickly and I hate to throw away that much $ in tires if the TACOMA can use them for a while.

Wheee!!!

Your original link is no longer working (cause its sold?) so I'm not sure what year Tacoma you are talking about... My guess is that the 235s will fit, as they are relatively narrow 32s. I would swap tires and take the BFGs with you.
