How many FJ's here?

Just wondering if there are many FJ cruisers owners on this site. If your an FJC post up a pic with your mods, if any. I own an '07 loaded with everything I could get from the factory, except I missed one very important thing, Rock Sliders. I was in such a daze that day with everything that was going on I never noticed or checked to see if the sliders were on the Ti I was buying. I test drove several FJ's that day & that just slipped by me. I'm looking for a stock set now, the $$ is not to bad, but the shipping is killing me. The other mod's I have: 3" lift,285/70/17 BFG KM2's,scuba mod, locker hack, atrac mod, over head console,(driverside), that holds my sideband CB & scanner, roof top KC daylighters & a few other little mod.'s. I'd like to see what you guy's are running. Can't post pic.'s of mine yet- see post in Photography section- but will soon. Thanks, Tican

Welcome to ExPo fellow FJs! There are more than a few FJC owners here, but as you guys already have discovered, there are many other rigs represented here as well. I think that's part of what makes ExPo interesting. If you search around I think you'll see some familiar names from over on the blue forum.

Anyway, I have an '07 FJ, bought in Dec '06. I have King shocks on it with custom rear springs from Coil Spring Specialties. For armor I have Man-A-Fre sliders and Bud Built skids. A Road Armor bumper holds a Warn 9.5ti winch. I've installed a dual battery kit from Dirty Parts, and a 75A auxiliary fuse box. For comms I have a Cobra 75 WXST and a Kenwood TMV71A. Probably a few other miscellaneous things I'm forgetting.

Count us in, 2007 FJ Blackcherry with few mods, Yokohoma Geolanders on stock wheels for the Montana gumbo and gravel roads. Pull a matching Tentax for camping etc. Our second vehicle is a 2002 Tacoma. Tom and Elaine

Hey, nothing wrong with Taco's or Runners, almost went with a 4 Runner myself. This is why I liked this forum, lots of different wheeler rigs outfitted with everything & anything one may need when in the back country. I was just trying to get a sort of head count. I joined a local club, mostly jeeps, & had to kind of prove my worth so to speak. I now have the respect of the group, (after a bit of non-jeep ownership backlash), but all is good & I love wheeling with any type of vehicular 4 wheel drive. I've seen some rigs back the woods & thought, "what the hell is that?", but up the ledge it went. To me, anything that is set up right is good to go.

Have been on the forum here since last year, and a member on the forum I started/still admin (YotaTech), IH8MUD, fjcruiserforums, ect.
Link in my sig to my buildup thread at YotaTech and one that I started here.

Funny this popped up though, as someone on Mud posted yesterday they wanted to see pics of FJs with mods, so there is a new thread.
I will copy here what I posted there.

I had it built to order, and it was a long three month wait.

It evolved at a very past pace, and mods were redone later, as I do not have the setup on in the pic below anymore.

Axe/shovel were later moved to the rear of the stock rack via Four Treks mounts.

Stereo upgrades, DVD navigation, Sirius satellite radio, Focal speakers in the door, dash, and rear, and an Alpine four channel amp to drive them to very loud levels.

Duel 12v outlets in the rear above the stock 110v outlet, and a BlueSea aux. fusebox in the footwell.

Total Chaos upper control arms.
Also OME heavy duty springs up front, medium one back aft.

Dual battery setup with a Painless Wiring kit.

Springtail M-Packs that use military molle straps/bags.

Had to take off the Four Treks rear dual mount for the shovel and axe, moved the Hi-Lift to the ARB bumper via Four Treks mounts, and went with a Hi-Lift Handle-All shovel, axe, pic, and sledge that is in the cab behind the drivers seat.
Oh yeah, had to take off the rear Four Treks mounts to make way for my new penthouse. (AutoHome Maggiolina AirLand medium)

Custom rear cargobox that was designed for my old rig, a '91 4Runner.
Fits the FJ pretty good.
Also a Powertank, and two fire extinguishers.
One by the Powertank will not harm your wiring, as the agent is like Halon.
The cheap fire extinguisher to the far right is for outside fires not related to the rig.
It will ruin your wiring.

Rehinged the ARB fridge with a kit from a forum member om IH8MUD to allow the lid to open up all the way.

Added the Two Zone baskets later to organize the grub on top.

Yaesu 857D ham radio, install is not 100% done yet.
Main unit will go under passenger seat when I get back on track.

BajaRacks rear ladder.

Last weekend added a 60 watt foldable solar panel for keeping the batteries juiced up while running the ARB fridge and tent light when camping.
Whole article here.

Complete buildup of my rig is in my sig below, but the above is a quick rundown on some of my favorite mods.

Ya, WOW...

Ya, I've seen & read your build thread the first day I was on this site Corey. Quite a build & quick too, wish I had the cash to add that much at once. The mod I like the best is the roof top tent, been looking at those since they came out. I'll check out those other sites, Thanks

Thanks.
I am pretty much done with the rig except for finishing the ham radio install, a rear bumper, and the new BajaRack coming out shortly that is designed specifiably for my type of roof top tent.

COG is a little to high with any tent on the stock roof rack.
