How many miles on your LR3/LR4?

Just curious to see who's out there driving LR3's and 4's with high milage. I have my eye on one with 120,000 and interested in knowing if others out there have done the same thing or were the original owners who drove the heck out of it.
It's common to see people buying and using land cruisers with 200,000 + miles on them, but when hanging around the Land Rover thread milage is often not mentioned. I know the LR3 & 4 need regular maintenance howere, with that said and done will they live a long time?

Thanks

I had 120k on mine when I sold it.
Bought it at 48k.

Sold if for a few reasons.
Main was the maintenance.
All around 99-110 miles.
aC compressor
New battery
4 new shocks and air compressor
New elect locker motor.
New alt
Other issues never fixed
Nav DVD player was broken
LCD screen was going bad
Strange elect gremlins were showing up.
And it used about a quart of oil a month.

Mine was a late 2005 LR3.
Got fed up with the Maint.

Would I buy another one?? Not sure, Why? Great off-road and on if you can get past the high maintence cost, that is my only issue with purchasing another. Most work was done by me or an indi shop.
Parts are coming down in price.
AC compressor was the worst, 1500 installed.
Just did my 07 F150 this summer and it cost me $300
Suspension was not bad and picked up a rebuilt air compressor cheap.
So, ya......

Currently about 116K on my '07 HSE. I've done a compressor as 'repair' but otherwise only maintenance items. I'm the second owner, so I don't have the full history from new. I do wheel it pretty hard...I seem to think it's a rock crawler some days.

It burns no oil and I have no mechanical issues to report.

Would I buy another? Well, with the price of LR4s coming down I'd be sorely tempted to look at one of them just for the extra power, but basically yes - I'd buy it again.

I bought mine at 98k, with the idea to long term ownership.
It needed front lower's when i bought it. Known wear point and hardly a deal breaker when the rest of the car was good.
It had an alternator and front wheel bearings done for me by previous owner. Wheel bearings again are known and can be bought cheap/easy to change.
They are power hungry so a good alternator and battery are needed or it starts to throw up error messages on start up etc.

I have since replaced the 4 arb bushes, front track rod ends and steering inner arms ( arms were £22 for the pair ) the rear uppers and rear lowers and 4 rear hub bushes as i wanted a clean slate for the future mods. I did that at 117k.
The front lowers need redone as the pattern parts haven't lasted at all. Going genuine this time.
I've refreshed the brakes and upgraded the front's to Brembo's off a RRS as i wanted better braking feel and the tdv6 ones can be improved on.

It's now at 133k and needs a torque convertor and suspension compressor but that's hardly the end of the world.

It's never let me down, never failed to start, even with a duff battery, and has always got me home regardless of weather conditions. It's the most practical car i've owned and the only replacement for me would be a MY12 D4 HSE LUXURY but they are high 30s to low 40s and my 3 was only £12k so they are way out my price range.

Plenty of guides and online support for them now, they are pretty easy to work on.

!58 .000 mils on mine. Will get to 160 000 easily this month, as I am going to Winter Romp .
Preventive maintenance is my theme..Still on original air compressor.

Mine has 140,000. Not too many problems. I just had to fix the suspension compressor. Replaced the dryer unit. Otherwise, it has been regular maintenance stuff. I have really enjoyed it. I will be buying another one after this one has run its course.

My mom has 115,000 on her '06 LR3. She has had a few issues, mostly early in the vehicles life. She's been through a couple of compressors, TPMs has never really worked, I think she went through a transmission or diff relatively early too. Even with all the issues she absolutely loves the vehicle and will be trading it shortly for a near-end-of-run LR4.

Well that's all pretty positive stuff. It won't be driven so additional milage won't be to crazy, I guess that could be good or bad. For service and issues I guess I need to find a good British/foreign auto repair place I know the dealer would be crazy exspesive. I would like to hear more milage stories so keep them coming.
I have a few additional questions but will start a new thread for those.

'character' over on disco3.co.uk has over a half million miles on his. You can read about the items he's replaced during that time.

Mine is at 113,000 I've had it since about 80,000. I've had two front struts, a height sensor, and thermostat housing to replace. After the second strut I removed the air suspension and went to coils.

Compared to the older Rovers these just work.

I have an RR sport basicly the same structure with a diferent body --have 120K miles on her in the last year a set of lower arms for the bushes-cam belt change(diesel) and thats about it, other than a few electrical gremlins solved by a can of contact cleaner
