How many, what type, and location of lights for 95 Suburban

I'm starting my build of a 95 Suburban, and one of the things I'm planning for, are lights on top of the roof rack. I've searched, but would like to get real world opinions on what works, what doesn't, etc.

I'm pretty sure I want two in the back, alley lights, and some up front.

I have a 90 suburban and I am kindof in the same boat. I have a basket up top and would like to add 2 or 4 lights on the front of the rack and 2 in the back. My concern is glare from the rooftop lights. I have heard a lot of people complain about this and they recommend lights on the grill/bumper over having rack mounted lights. However, I have heard the opposite when it comes to lights in the back, that floods high in the rear help illuminate better then bumper mounted.
