How to add extra battery or 2 to LR4?

I'm looking at buying a new LR4 and need to add 1 or 2 extra batteries (probably Optima 55 or 66 A/H x 2 in under hood (daily temps here are ALWAYS +80 - +90 F degrees) or a single 105 - 120 regular AGM in back of car (take out 3rd row seats??).

From what I've researched this means getting a DC /DC charger (C-Tek with the Booster system) usually if you want results......or can you do what you can do with Jeeps with OBD 1 and OBD2 and cut and solder in a resistor in the battery temp sensor to boost charging???? Can this be done on a LR4?... my research thusfar makes no mention of it.

Any useful advice really welcome.

TIA

I'm also very very happy with my Traxide system. You can order the full on kit, or bare bones and add your own wiring, etc.

I've researched Traxide (Aussie - lol) and they sound good will probably go for that. Did further research on AULRO.com and seems Traxide's Tim is a supporter/poster and mentions a lot of buzz in UK of changes to the charging systems on 2014 - onwards LR4's (Euro 5 emission spec)...(known as D4 - Discovery 4 in Oz and UK and Europe) which can cause problems with charging batteries ( OE and extra)... so need to follow through.

Anyone with 2014 onwards LR4's on here with any input in this regard???
