how to carry a spare lantern globe?

I've broken my globe a couple times. My Coleman came with the hard case and I've always used it.
I've tried making a metal mesh globe after finding that Century does not make one for my lantern. Results are dim light compared to what I'm used to, but I did not research the mesh size. I just used some left over stainless mesh from work that looked to be roughly the right size.

I'm posting this.....because I don't think you will need to carry a spare globe if you carry your Lantern in this manner.

we do have the Coleman carry case.......the globe broke when the lantern was accidentally knocked off the tailgate.
