How to mount this pintle?

Trying to figure out how this puppy would mount with my standard 2" receiver it's described as a Split flange mount

Also while on the matter what's the best setup for mounting a lunette or eye on the trailer side if it also has a standard 2" receiver?

I take it you are implying it is perhaps overkill for a M416? haha

Just happened to find one locally and was wondering if it would work.
