Being an Australian who has recently moved to California I would say this is just Engel US getting rid of their old stock as the Australian models have has digital temp gauge and low voltage cut off for a while now. I say the updated ones will be available here(US) later this year then.

Hi like the LED readout and have it on a couple of ARBS and NL fridges , but the Engel is just so rugged and the knob is fine for me. Very easy to find the temp you want !! Very happy the new are coming out as it provided great deals for us primitive folks lol. Just received my second 60L dual zone!!

Was thinking same thing. Saw the video regarding the new temp displays and figured this is basically a clearance of the old to bring in the new.

Still a great deal.

A video for the USA? They've had the celsius temp readout, voltage cut off and interior light for many years in Australia. Funny enough the old ARB version of the MT45 in the US had a temp readout in celsius from back to at least 2008, but in the Engel brand there's no display in the US.

This stinks of product update. I am guessing that they are going to launch an updated line with the features that the competition has put in place.

Lol "stinks " pretty funny that someone would think bad of a company for discounting there product because they have changes to it coming out. Sounds like a win win. They get rid of there remaining stiock ,,,,, we get stock that we are familiar with and very happy with at very large discounts !!! Do not see the downside !!!
Of course I may be reading the last post wrong when it refers to " this stinks of" . Ahhhhh possibly a new thread of (why do we feel the need to think something is amiss just because it looks like a good thing?)
