Hunting ATV

Got a 2003 Kodiak 400 that I take elk hunting with me. Been using it for 2 years now hunting and camping without a winch and it's time to get one. I have a winch mount and it's scratched up, so the prev owner must have had one. What would fit best? Don't think I need anymore than 2000lbs.

I picked up a never installed 2000 lb Summit Racing ATV winch off of Craigslist for $100. installed it on my '04 Bombardier QuestMax 650. It's a heavier ATV than yours at about 800lbs. It has worked fine when I pulled myself out of a couple of holes.

You can get a good new atv winch at Costco....they're not a Warn, but they seem to work alright.

For a quad, I would just get the cheapest one I could find. You won't be using it that much if you haven't already.

For a quad I would just put that harbor freight one on there.
