A couple of weeks back, I went for a 7-day elk hunt in the Bitterroot Mountains of Montana. Drove from Colorado Springs, CO to where we based. Record high temps kept the elk bedded most of the time, so I came home without a bull. I did, however, knock down my first bear. On top of it all, mountain sunrises and sunsets make a great backdrop for the Gwagen. It snowed over 6 inches on my last day. The G was a fun means of travel for hours of snow covered roadways. Pulled two pickups (fellow hunters) out of the ditch in the backroads. I neared Bozeman, the snow had turned to ice. I less than 20 vehicles in the ditch + two jackknifed semis in and around the Bozeman area. Took it slow, and came out alright.
