I have an older Canon Powershot (G5) that I still use quite often for tech articles. It takes good photos but does leave something to be desired for creative options.

X2 on the G9.

You can also add a couple things to your camera kit, with the G9.
It will make use of the Canon flash, for bounce, fill, etc.
You can also add a lens adapter for ptotection and use of polarizer.

Hey everyone,

So I have figured out my plans on what to do. I have put the G9 on our online wedding registry. From what everyone has said about it, it seems to fit the bill since it allow's for enough creativity that I won't be hitting myself over my head for not taking my equipment.

I will throw one of my babies

into my luggage just in case, but will not carry it everywhere.
