Hey gang!

Good news! I found a M416. I think I can get it for about $500 but if not what would be the top that I should pay?

Also - anyone know if I can register it in NY with just a bill of sale and no title?

Here are a few pics:

The trailer looks good and the price is right.

Most states you cna register as home made trailer but check with your DMV.

My state you dont register trailers. So no paperwork

Cool another intelligent state. Oregon we don't register or plate trailers under 1800 lbs.:sombrero:

You should be able to register it as "homemade"

You will have to make sure you comply with DMV rules and regs as far as lighting, tow chains, and such.

Fist thing you need to do is get the paperwork at the local DMV, fill it and submit it, have it weighed, get it registered and then inspected

Thanks!
How do I tow it to get it weighed, get it registered and then inspected w/o a plate?

You have a bill of sale I'm guessing?

Go to a local certified (the local dump, a truck stop, ) weigh station...they'll weigh it, give you a certified slip, then fill out the proper forms at the DMV, they'll assign you a VIN #, and a registration, and they'll also give you a temporary 10 day inspection...

this should be helpful.http://www.nydmv.state.ny.us/trailer.htm

Any qustions just PM me

Thanks, I understand that. What I was asking is: is there a way to transport it(other than in a truck)i.e.tow it from the point of purchase. In other words, is there a way to get some sort of transport or temp plate? Or do I just use a plate from another trailer? I'd prefer not to do that as the M416 is a few hours hi-way drive away...
