goin camping

Just got back to SoCal from AZ.
Went there to pick up a 2003 Express 1500 AWD with the G80 limited slip and 3.73 axle gears. This cargo converted to a luxury coach by Centurion only has 64897 miles on it and was owned by a fanatic. So clean in and out it is scary. Except for a parking lot ding on the back this thing looks and acts brand new. Got it at a great price too.
Yes, the rear leather captains chairs and back seat that flattens to a tiny bed are going. As is the fiberglass ground effect trim around the bottom of the body.
Then we do a lift, tires, roof vent and build out the inside to sleep two humans and three GSDs and goin camping in the desert we will go.
First impression of the van was very nice. Cruising at 85 mph with the AC blowing across the AZ desert. Rode very nice. Didn't mind the the speed or heat. Just drove wonderful. Those big leather swank *Admiral seats are truly comfy.
I would post pics but my phone and computer are not talking to each other today. Hopefully I can get them to stop fighting soon. If I can I'll post the as delivered pics along with the changes to come.
And it only took three months to find one. These things are rare out west.
As of now the biggest uncertainty is which tire to go with to give me good highway mileage and control and to also handle and have the traction for dirt/sandy/rocky roads and paths out in the Mojave. All tire suggestions happily received.
P.S. If you want a back row bench seat that flattens into a childs bed. PM me to arrange for you to come take it. No charge.
* So much plusher and comfortable than mere Captains chairs. I suspect they were made by Lazy Boy.
