I need to upgrade my truck to a 250/2500

Looks like it may be Lariat and up. Kinda surprised. I thought they would keep trim level equipment consistent.

Surprised they already have the build configurator active, just did one myself and it looks like intelligent access/push to start and LED headlights are missing, also no mention of heated seats but that's currently and option on the XLT super duties so I don't see any reason they would step backwards in terms of available options.

I suspect that the build configurator will be updated over time to be more accurate, there are no "packages" available at this time to select from other than towing tech, tremor. suspect and mid and high options pack to become available like the F150, hoping to see LED and push to start on the high options pack

Yep, I was surprised when I saw the configurator was live too.

That would make sense. F150 XLT 300 and 301 have the 8" screen, halogens and no push start. 302 XLT's get the the 12" screen, larger digital screen between the speedo and tach, push button etc...

It would make sense for Ford to mirror those packages on Super Duty vs having the 2022 XLT packages pictures below:

There will be a lot of late availability features on the 2023 Super Duty, according to FordAuthority.com: 2023 Ford Super Duty Has Tons Of Late Availability Items (fordauthority.com)

Also, output of the new gas 6.8 V8 was reveal (405 hp, 445 lb-ft) and H.O. Power Stroke (500 hp, 1200 lb-ft) were revealed.
From the article:
The 2023 Ford Super Duty packages and options currently slated as late availability include the 360-Degree Trailer Camera System, Fifth Wheel/Gooseneck Trailer BLIS System, Onboard Scales & Smart Hitch, Pro Trailer Hitch Assist,

Personally, I would wait until these features are available.
I have these features on my F150 ,(except for the last one) and I've grown to love them all.

I will be taking delivery on a Hallmark Milner in about a year. My current truck is a 2007 Toyota Tundra with 170k miles. Best vehicle I’ve ever owned. Unfortunately, the weight of the Milner with passengers and camping equipment will exceed my cargo capacity. I’m looking at upgrading to a 3/4 ton for the extra capacity and less stress.

It'll be fine on the Tundra. This is right off the Hallmark website... ;):

So?

This video was uploaded by Lance,

The video states the camper dry weight is 1,700 lbs. What do you think the payload rating of an F150 Platinum is? I'll tell ya it ain't 1,700 lbs. And, I'm guessing the badge on the pass front door is a powerstroke badge. So deduct more weight from a typical Platinum.

That's easy to say, until you're overloaded by a ton or so, doing 70 down the interstate when a deer pops out in front of you! Little knee jerk reaction, top-heavy and overloaded, brakes over worked, suspension overloaded- handles like a pig, and poof, you're down the side of a mountain, bouncing off vehicles on the highway, whatever the truck decides because you certainly won't be in control!!
Boy Scout from 60 years ago, Be Prepared seldom if ever fails you...

So unless you're an idiot, stay within the design parameters of the vehicle- and a few driving lessons won't hurt either!!

Reading through the comments and something keeps coming up over and over again.

Yes, the owner/driver of said overweight vehicle is responsible for whatever happens at the end of the day.

But... When (or if) do you all think the Camper Manufacturers will be held at least partially responsible for selling campers to folks, knowingly exceeding their capacity???

In todays day in age, i see the lawsuits eventually coming once (not if) a high profile accident happens.

FWC is hands down the worst. Not only are their weights grossly under reported accurate, they are installing them at their factory on grossly undersized trucks. "Just get some airbags bro"

Example: I had a 2018 Hawk (What a POS) and went back and forth with them during the build about the weight. I forget exact #s but they repeatedly said around 1100lbs-ish the way i optioned it. Tag provided on camper also said 1100lbs-ish. Brought truck to scale directly after delivery and it was 1450lbs-ish. Thought maybe scale was off, tried another, same 1450lbs-ish

So there is also that factor...

Hope to see the camper manufactures owning some of the blame here...

Camper manufacturers aren't idiots, nor are their retail partners. They know what the best-selling vehicles are, 1/2-ton trucks, and that people are far more likely to purchase a camper if they can be convinced that they don't also have to spend a huge pile of money on a new bigger truck that is harder to park and more expensive to operate.

Agree 110%

Doesn't mean they shouldn’t be held at least somewhat accountable
