The saddest takeaway I got out of this story was that possibly, just possibly, the deceased might have been saved by an earlier discovery of this scene. There’s nothing in the article to refer to TOD or manner of death, but you never know when an observant, helpful Good Samaritan might make a life or death difference in cases like this.

Gets back to the general mantra…if you see something, say something.
