I want a Flip Pac.........on my 4Runner!

Basically, a bolt-on flip pac. Not a pop-up. And no camper shell.

Green=4runner body
Off-white=Flip top
Red=bolts to roof rack

Notice the "skirt" of the flip top rests upon the body, so as to look as part of the vehicle rather than an exposed underside.

I have been thinking of the same concept as your picture. I don't see why flip-pac could not leave off the camper shell. Other than the costs of making a mold it seems pretty straight forward.

No. The idea is to look to be PART OF the 4runner, not an extension. The roof is plenty wide enough to sleep two, side by side, I know because I do it now with my OasisII.

And if BOTH ends were angled (for front aerodynamics), the unit could be flipped over to the front, or the rear... Obviously with the rear, you would need longer supports to either the bumper, or the ground.

Here was one idea for a flippac on a first gen, but I didn't see any progress lately[/img]

I have been pretty busy with work, and projects around the house. I just got a new job that should pay quit a bit more, so I'll have more funds available to work on it....

I cant wait to finish it. I have a plan worked out, and once I start on it, it should go pretty smooth..
