I saw one on the road today.. it looks a little awkward to IMO. But then so does every new car that comes out that looks like a square box on wheels.

Interested to see if any companies will do mods for them.

I saw a few versions of these today at the Nissan test track here in AZ.
It looks like a great platform for several uses!

The NV200 is 2010's "van of the year" in Europe. The vehicle is small by USA standards, about the size of a Mazda5 minivan. The smallish wheels and compact rear suspension maximize interior space.

The van has enough interior space (80 inches in length, for example) for a camper conversion for two people.

Here are a few numbers for the NV200.

wheelbase 2725 mm 107 in
overall length 4400 173 in
width 1695 66.7 in
height 1860 73 in
turning circle 10.6 m 34.7 ft

maximum payload 752 kg 1657 lb

engine as sold in Europe
1.5L diesel, 200 NM 147 ft lbs
fuel consumption 5.2 l/100 km 45 mpg combined

cargo area dimensions
length 2040 80 in
width 1500 59 in
height 1358 53 in
between wheel arches 1224 48 in
cargo volume 4.2 cu.m 148 cu ft

At present, the NV200 is manufactured in Japan and Spain. I think the NV200 taxis will be constructed at Nissan's facilites in Mexico.

I looked hard at the NV2500/3500 for our current build but never got a chance to drive one.

Pros
Should drive and ride better than USA vans and be more comfortable
Factory high top - more cubic volume and easier to add interior
Has a smaller turning circle even though wheelbase is longer
No engine in cab - much more room up front
Should be more reliable
Fuel filler location will allow propane refrigerator installation behind driver's seat (Westy layout)
5-speed shiftable transmission - fun!
Breakover angle is greater than Ford or Chevy stock

Cons
Van is 3 feet longer than Ford/Chevy for same living space
Barn doors not available - this is a deal-breaker for me and my wife
Curb weight is substantially higher
V6 is too small, V8 is too big and thirsty for us
Front and rear approach angle s are less than Ford or Chevy stock
Lift and 4x4 not available
