Just wanted to put up a quick post about how my Went went...
Great time!
If folks on here have a chance to go next year - ABSOLUTELY do it!!!
All skill levels were encouraged, with groups for every level.
This event is a great idea for folks who are interested in overlanding, but haven't yet. It lets you learn how capable your SUV or truck is, while having other folks around.
I ended up riding with the "Expedition" group. Corey, our group leader was great. Encouraging, patient and fun. Seemed like all the event staff were as well.
I meet a ton of super nice folks from all over. The camp ground is pretty good, and big. Big enough that folks who wanted to stay up late late could without bothering families or folks who need quiet time (I'm one of those odd people who can only socialize for a short time before I get REALLY overwhelmed-I was fine, I could just excuse myself a bit early and read an e-book with a few beers & then off to bed).
More to follow, hopefully with some pictures & ?video when I get home after Expo East.
