Ladies and Gentlemen,
First of all, thank you. I have been lurking for a while, but until recently have not made any posts. You see, I am good friends with tdesanto of Montero fame. He and I recently attended the local SCARR (South Central Area Rover Rally) 2008 in Gilmer TX. He had so many great things to say not only about the forum itself, but about the friends he had made on it as well.
Needless to say, I finally made a post some of you not only read but made some very wonderful suggestions to help me remedy my problem. This is so refreshing to me after lurking around and being somewhat involved in some other forums.....that start with a D. Those others will easily merit a response, however some of the responses dont seem to be made with the same tone or knowledge that I received here. Again I humbly thank you all.
Carrying on, I am the proud original owner of a now 43,000 mi 2004 Discovery II S. My only real option is the rear air. I have the genuine naughahide seats (only 5 of them), no sunroofs, oh and a CD player. My mods include the OME shocks and springs which I gained about two inches from, Revo AT's (another 1.5 in), ARB Bull Bar, Slick Rock Sliders, OME steering damper, AM/FM CD XM Pioneer stereo, Yakima short rack, factory cross bars, a home made platform for overnight jaunts and 3 Wedco fuel tanks and one water tank.
After spending some time with King Desanto and seeing all of his neat gear and hearing about all of his fantastic journeys, I have decided I will strive to get my rig road worthy of some decent expeditions. My goings will be slow due to $$$, but nonetheless persistant and, (hopefully well thought out) with your assistance of course.
I have never had any issues at all with my truck. I still to this day don't know where all the static comes from surrounding repairs and trouble problems. Here is a pic of my beloved Reata:
OK, so I am slow and I will need to get tdesanto to show me how to add this in.
Thanks again and I look forward to the years before us all.
