Icon goes Hollywood

Icon Motosports opened the corporate wallet to pay for this 30 minute fantasy ride. Untold numbers of GoPro cameras were destroyed in the making of this video.

Nice video. The did a really good job with the camera work, the only place I saw a camera operator was in the desert section, and it was just a brief shadow.

Some damn good riding skills in the video, just goes to show you it isn't about bike... albeit the video itself was a little cheesy.

That was pretty well done technically. A video project like this is a huge undertaking. I can't even imagine the amount of time it took to edit. The trouble with fast action sports video is that your subject is only in the shot for a second or two...and there were lots of fixed camera positions in this vid. I liked it, I can't believe I sat still watching it for 30 minutes. Normally my attention span is less than 2 minutes for video on the computer.

Yeah, but cheese gets viewers now-a-days! They were handling those big ole bikes quite well!

Cheese does certainly sell. :ylsmoke:

yeah they were really putting those bikes through their paces, made me think of the people complaining about the new KTM 1190 ADV, which is basically the same setup/styling....and well, there you go guys, you can ride the hell out of that style of bike.

Thinking the same...the amount of production work is amazing. Hard work all around by both sides of the camera.

No, THEY can ride the hell out of those bikes.... They also probably ride 6-10 hours a day, for a living. I'm lucky to ride it back and forth to work 1-2 days a week, and for 4-6 hours on a normal weekend.

I don't get it??? Why would ICON make a silly video of two guys in clown colored costumes, riding dirt bikes and not have one word or picture of their current products?
Is ICON now making Mighty Morphin Power Rangers suits in addition to their already goofy product line?

It seems like Icon tries to be revolutionary in their vision and product line. I admire their designs and artworks but the fallback is the quality of craftmanship. There are good factories in China and there are terrible ones, and Icon picked up one of the terrible.
