More along the line s of this? You're turning your Ford into a Ram? :ROFLMAO:

Out of curiosity, why not keep the factory box and go with something SmartCap and an RTT?

Because I can do flat-bed things, by taking the canopy off, and I'd like to change things up and gain easy access storage from the outside. I've always wanted a flatbed setup, and who knows, I might consider a FWC or something similar in the future, and that would allow for that change should I depart from the canopy system and a trailer. SmartCaps are cool, but the lines at the cab are wonky on the Ford, and they still have some issues with latches and dust/water intrusion.

Money no object, I would do the loaded Summit Expedition flatbed with the side gates and all other features and the new FWC Hawk + that they just released. Can still use the truck as needed, then have a great camping setup when needed.

Two-month King update:

I found that for daily driving, setting them to three clicks up from the softest setting works best for both low and high speed performance. When towing, I have been bumping them up four clicks. I will pull the CanAm/trailer some 700 miles at 70-75 mph this week, so it should be a good shakedown for finding the perfect setting for a lighter 5K load.

A few upgrades this week. New King 2.5's from AccuTune and the BMC Apex XL Baja Designs XL80/S1 combo I got lightly used from another member here getting out of his Tremor.

I have the same BMC Apex-L setup and have a question about aiming. Did you have any trouble getting the XL80s adjusted enough to point towards the midline rather than way off to the sides? I have them setup the way BMC suggests and they are just way too far off towards the outsides. TBH, I wonder if the XL80s are “too bright” as well to be so low on the bumper. I’m debating getting some XL Sports and swapping them for the 80s and then putting the 80s in the a-pillar position.
