Not bad really. One of the nice things about the setup is you can have different information displayed on the back LCD and on the view finder.
In manual focus mode, the display zooms in I think it is 8x.

update:
it's been on a few trips now, nothing crazy yet, but it's surviving just fine even without a proper cleaning. it's even my go-to camera in the garage when documenting mods. you'd probably expect me to downgrade my older p&s to shop-duty, but rather once you are used to a higher quality shot, you tend to want that on everything.
still really enjoying the camera.
- favorite overall feature - point to indicate focus.
- favorite characteristic compared to a p&s - ability to capture shallower depth of field.
