I've been wanting to visit Glacier NP for some time, especially since getting my van last fall. I ended up tacking on a few more miles to visit Banff as well.

I left Detroit and headed north, lunch in Grand Marais, bedded down at the Porcupine Mountains. Day 2 was a haul to Theodore Roosevelt NP, ND for the night. Day 3 I made it to Glacier NP, MT for a couple nights. My plans in Idaho fell through, so off to Canada I went. I spent 4 days sightseeing, camped at 2 different spots. When I headed back south, I took AB-93 instead of the trans Canada hwy and ended up crossing the continental divide into British Columbia. I ended up in Beaverhead NF the next night on my way to Yellowstone. I wanted to revisit YNP because there's a Detroit connection there. Col. Philetus Norris was the park's early custodian and also founded a neighborhood in Detroit. I visited some folks in Spearfish next and continued back to Michigan. 16 days away, 5300+ miles, and no major issues with the van! Driving 10-13 hrs a day solo, however, wasnt all that comfortable.

Gorgeous pictures. Is the van that stiff or what made it uncomfortable?
I just had a lot of tension between my shoulders. I sat on a klymit air pad - that helped my keister. The arm rests aren't padded either.
