We just got back from a 1 day camp.. nothing crazy.. just a nice way to get away and test out the new tent before a serious trip.

The new 2007 Expedition Mombasa tent did excellent.

It's way smaller widthwise. The last one took up the entire rack and we could stretch our legs out and never touch one another. It was like a 'roof top condo'. This one is the same length for your body length , just not as wide.

Still fits 2 people just fine though.

I got mine from Mel at Car-top-tents.com .. good guy.

How did the hitch mount bike system hold up? Did it rattle?

Naah it doesnt rattle hardly at all... cause i had my buddy that fabbed the extension.. weld a nut with a secure bolt that tightens up the wiggle. After you slide the receiver tube in your tighten down the bolt. There wasn't much play after that.

Only problem i noticed is that the bikes look like they've already been out on a ride when you arrive at camp! LOL! They get really dusty!
